Went on retreat Saturday night with Patrick and received his permission to shoot the street walk. Awaiting the last person in our group to arrive, I addressed to him a rumour I heard from one of my students and a powerful insight arose from that conversation. It was a lesson of light and a gift to be re-given. This video is that teaching. ☮♥

Helping Hands for India is a non-profit organization managed by a dedicated team of volunteers who has an interest in helping people with less fortunate circumstances to better their lives. We are raising funds to build a school and gathering donations of much needed items to help a child achieve, such as books, food and clothing.

Help us to build our school by:

-Making a donation online.

-Organizing a fundraising event then donating the proceeds.

-Find fundraising ideas.

-Sponsor our children.

-Participate in the children’s book drive.

If you’re in India or planning to visit, you can:

-Donate time to help feed the lepers.

-Help a child in India to have a special birthday celebration at school by making a donation. Money can be dropped off at the ashram.

-Bring school supplies, clothing or personal hygiene items. Visit the news page for suggestions.

Please contact Anand Prakash Ashram or email info@helpinghandsforindia.org to find out how you can participate in any of the above programs today.

Learning for Hope now works with several school communities in Peru, El Salvador and we recently established a working relationship with ALALAY, an organization that works with street kids in Bolivia. Thousands of young children in these countries are benefiting as a result of the work that we do.

This year we will continue our mission. We will open a center in Cusco, which will provide girls who are victims of abuse the opportunity to have access to computers and take workshops in everything from baking to music. In partnership with AGAPE in El Salvador, we will pay for the construction of a playground for the school for students with special needs in Sonsonate.

We may not fundraise a million dollars, but we will make the little bit of money that we raise go as far as possible. Learning for Hope is a perfect example of how far things can go when people want to give more than just money to a cause. Of course, if anyone out there has a million dollars, we are more than willing to give it a happy home. For more info visit www.learningforhope.com

The Eye of the Buddha:

“A rainbow emanates upon a mandala from Nepal, the upside down triangle, a symbol of the feminine divine, rests upon the locus of the Buddha. Transfixed in its meeting and meaning, through its light, a light of its own. Looking through spaciousness awareness, seeing the teachings non-separation being seen, watching the watcher watch, everything known is known. This is the present of presence, the divine glance of the Buddha eye itself.”
