My students have chosen these charities for their final. A time to raise awareness and learn the work of love through light. The QR codes have been designed to show a special video explaining each endeavor. Become informed and support in any way you can. ☮♥

Helping Hands for India is a non-profit organization managed by a dedicated team of volunteers who has an interest in helping people with less fortunate circumstances to better their lives. We are raising funds to build a school and gathering donations of much needed items to help a child achieve, such as books, food and clothing.

Help us to build our school by:

-Making a donation online.

-Organizing a fundraising event then donating the proceeds.

-Find fundraising ideas.

-Sponsor our children.

-Participate in the children’s book drive.

If you’re in India or planning to visit, you can:

-Donate time to help feed the lepers.

-Help a child in India to have a special birthday celebration at school by making a donation. Money can be dropped off at the ashram.

-Bring school supplies, clothing or personal hygiene items. Visit the news page for suggestions.

Please contact Anand Prakash Ashram or email info@helpinghandsforindia.org to find out how you can participate in any of the above programs today.

Learning for Hope now works with several school communities in Peru, El Salvador and we recently established a working relationship with ALALAY, an organization that works with street kids in Bolivia. Thousands of young children in these countries are benefiting as a result of the work that we do.

This year we will continue our mission. We will open a center in Cusco, which will provide girls who are victims of abuse the opportunity to have access to computers and take workshops in everything from baking to music. In partnership with AGAPE in El Salvador, we will pay for the construction of a playground for the school for students with special needs in Sonsonate.

We may not fundraise a million dollars, but we will make the little bit of money that we raise go as far as possible. Learning for Hope is a perfect example of how far things can go when people want to give more than just money to a cause. Of course, if anyone out there has a million dollars, we are more than willing to give it a happy home. For more info visit www.learningforhope.com

The Eye of the Buddha:

“A rainbow emanates upon a mandala from Nepal, the upside down triangle, a symbol of the feminine divine, rests upon the locus of the Buddha. Transfixed in its meeting and meaning, through its light, a light of its own. Looking through spaciousness awareness, seeing the teachings non-separation being seen, watching the watcher watch, everything known is known. This is the present of presence, the divine glance of the Buddha eye itself.”

Just letting it be after our first day of shooting / August 8th, 2012.

From love into light, the Back Care Yoga was printed and published today. Handmade and crafted by the two of us, this Yoga DVD contains a special asana sequence taught by Gayatri that’s phenomenal for anyone suffering with chronic low back pain.

This is my prerelease invitation for anyone who would like an early copy (simply send me an email), official launch will be when she returns in December from teaching at the ashram (http://www.akhandayoga.com/) in Rishikesh.

RMG Exposed 2012 Finalists : A slideshow of the 45 selections for the The Robert McLaughlin Gallery.

five years ago when we launched a similar competition to make a film inspired by our icelandic tour film heima, we received 57 entries. at the time this seemed like a lot to assimilate and judge. this time almost one thousand people (or rather, one thousand teams of people) have poured theirs hearts and souls into a bewildering variety of films that has frankly threatened to overwhelm us. wow! people have entered from all corners of the globe, inspiring us with so many and varied interpretations of the band’s music. and, without wanting to get too dewy-eyed, it really has been a humbling experience. thank you one and all for your truly amazing efforts.

No stranger to Andy Warhol’s magical 1969 New York Factory, copying the old days anew, thanks to Robyn and the Gallery 44 installation team, we’re the present day members. Here’s the snapshot, a blast from the past, hippin’ out on the couch.

Time for ‘the infinite’ to shine, let the lines speak what the ear can’t hear, let the concept conjure change that the mind is not ready to accept, let the eyes see what they cannot yet bear witness too…
